David Joan

David Joan is a prominent Mauritian DJ, artist, producer, and artistic director, renowned for his versatility and deep passion for music. His musical journey began in his teenage years, inspired by a captivating DJ performance at a wedding, which ignited his interest in DJing. Prior to this, he had experimented with the guitar, but the DJ's ability to energise the crowd profoundly influenced him, steering his career towards DJing. 

Immersing himself in the world of DJing, David honed his skills through practice sessions with friends, dedicating himself to mastering the craft. By the 2000s, he had established himself as a notable figure in the electro party and deep house scenes. His musical repertoire is diverse, seamlessly blending electronic, contemporary, and commercial music, and evoking the vibes of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s in Hip Hop and RnB. His performances in nightclubs, festivals, and themed events have earned him a strong reputation in the music industry. 

In 2012, David released his groundbreaking hit "In Your Eyes," featuring Joelle, marking a significant milestone in his career. Beyond his DJing endeavours, he has remained closely connected to the music industry through various roles in radio, including music technician, and programmer.
